About Austin Texas
Austin is the capital city of Texas and is located in the central portion of the State. It has a city population of just under 800,000 with a metropolitan population of over 1.7 million. The city is recognized as a major center for high tech and the University of Texas has a very popular engineering and computer sciences program.
